Maker of prefabricated bridge parts coming to Washington County, Va

A bridge manufacturing company plans to locate in Washington County, Va., and bring with it 32 new jobs over the next three years.

 

Big R Bridge – which develops engineered solutions in steel bridges, corrugated metal structures, retaining wall systems and corrugated pipe – will invest $1.9 million to locate at the former Lynchburg Steel facility in Washington County. The company will manufacture prefabricated bridge parts.

Blue Ridge Beverage Co. coming to Oak Park Center for Business and Industry

Virginia Produce to expand in Hillsville, Create 75 jobs

Gov. Bob McDonnell on Wednesday announced that Virginia Produce Company, a family-owned agricultural produce wholesaler located in Hillsville, will more than quadruple the size of its operating facility and create 75 new full-time positions.

 

During the three-year project, Virginia Produce will invest more than $2.54 million in capital improvements and buy an additional $12 million of produce from Virginia farms.

Screenprinting company to create 55 jobs, invest $1.4 million

Classic Creations Screen Printing will create 55 jobs and invest $1.4 million in a facility in Carroll County Industrial Park, according to a Tuesday announcement by CEO Keith Sanders.

 

In a crowded board of supervisors room, Sanders noted that he chose Hillsville and Carroll County as the location for his startup business due to the quality workforce that’s available here and the help he’s gotten from local and state representatives over the last 14 months. When he reached out to communities in Virginia and North Carolina, Sanders quickly could see that Carroll was the place to go.
